S Balasubramanian

Bala is an alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad with nearly 25 years of experience in the area of education including 12 years in the business of test-prep at the graduation/post graduation level.

As Bala often likes to say, “If the world is to ever transform into a paradise of peace and prosperity rooted in freedom, where every individual can strive freely to fulfill their destiny and live life to the fullest, we need to educate our children very differently. All that has passed for education in the last few centuries must be rejected in toto and a new paradigm of education needs to find its way into this world. And this new paradigm needs to put the learner – the child – in the centre of the framework with the teacher and the subjects of learning coming together to serve the child’s developmental journey"

R Vidyalakshmi

An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad with 2 decades of experience in the education sector, Vidya did her Bachelors in Engineering from NIT Allahabad.

In Vidya’s words, “It is imperative that we educate the whole child - hands, heart and head – to ensure that the child grows up into a balanced adult. The fundamental problem with the prevailing view of education is the obstinately one-dimensional focus on developing the intellect. The new approach must be based on the realisation that every human being is primarily a moral being and the objective of education must be to nurture and preserve the connection between our inner voice and our actions. The heart connects the head and the hands. And just like the physical body gets nourished by the nutrients in the food we eat, our heart forces need to be nourished in an environment filled with joy, kindness and wonder."
